From the Editor's Desk

We are coming to the close of the year and while the year started out a bit rocky we are ending on a high note, with the Casino party in December and great speakers lined up in November, Jan.and March already.

The Gold member program has been successful and those of you who have already signed up will start getting their Code Mag. sent to them in January. As a bonus if you have already signed up or sign up at the November meeting or online through our Paypal link on the front page you can pick up the current Code and CD at our desk at the November meeting.

We also have our first letter to the Editor. It is not one telling us how well we are doing and if you disagree or agree with the writer please let us know so we can change what we are doing if we need to.

Since the August newsletter ran into some production problems my software review is being reprinted in this issue.

The Casino Party will be on Dec. 14 at the Longhorn downtown. Look for a link to a map on the website and in the November newsletter.

I want as many of you to show as can because we want to show Comsys, Geniant and our other wonderful sponsors how excited we are about their cooperation.

So far the confirmed prizes are a trip to Sam's in Vegas, a copy of VS 2005 and several external hard drives and USB flash drives.

That is just the tip of the iceberg as all the table sponsors may be bringing items to add to the auction.

We have been making audio recordings of the last few meetings and will be putting them online in the near future on a separate website for them and the Newsletter. I will publish the URL as soon as we get it.
